Working? That's my decision!

There are still managers who think that a serious look on an
employee's face is a sign they are working hard. There are also
managers who believe that their employees should work when they
feel like it, as long as they finish their work. Workflow systems
make this possible and help contribute to employee
satisfaction.
A matter of trust
Flexible work is a matter of trust. Research shows that
female managers are often better at it than their male
counterparts. However, the fact remains that trust, or rather
distrust, often stands in the way of flexible working.
And then there are the facts
Luckily, workflow systems offer a solution to this
dilemma. They provide managers with insight into the workload, but
also into the amount of work that different employees or groups of
employees are doing. This way, trust is no longer an issue; it's
about the bare facts.
Possibilities aplenty
Employees usually get anxious when faced with so many
possibilities. However, in return, they get much more freedom from
a good manager in performing their tasks. This gives employees the
possibility to adapt their work hours to their private lives,
rush-hour traffic, or even choose to work remotely.
Satisfied employees
In short, the facts in a workflow system create a
situation in which performance becomes clear and employees can be
managed. Managers are then generally able to give their employees
much more freedom which in turn produces very satisfied
employees.
